I am curious about the accuracy of the slang in the books. Were these terms really used in 1930s Germany?

This is such an old post - and not even sure many people visit - however, I'm going out on a limb and believe that Mr. Kerr has done meticulous research in all his books. I believe this slang would be spot on.
