So - when I opened my Kindle the other day - Viola! - the new book Greeks Bearing Gifts had been delivered (I had pre purchased it). I'm on an instant high to dig into another Bernie Gunther novel (I've read them all and am prior law enforcement). I checked Amazon just to see if there were any reviews AND there it was
Somebody had anounced Phillip Kerr's recent passing. I was devastated.
My question to the group - has anyone ever met Phillip Kerr? He seemed like such a great guy. I've watched all his videos on Youtube.
This was a good one too, a more mellow 60-ish Bernie solving cases and staying away from guns. Spoiler alert, at the end he hints that he can help the Mossad capture a fugitive Nazi, Eichmann perhaps?

Here's to Mr. Kerr!

What I found most pleasing about this novel is that there is a hint Bernie may catch a break. He may aid the new state of Israel? A Nazi Hunter?
