Just wanted to let folks know that Prague Fatale has been nominated for a Pulp Ark Award in the category of Best Novel! Yahoo. It gets my vote! Voting will go until March 1st. Keep your fingers crossed!
As I get to vote and nominate for these awards, I think everyone here can guess where my Best Novel vote is going. And I'm a nominee myself in the Best Author category. Couldn't resist throwing that out there...
Thanks! Although I've won an award for Best Short Story a few years back (different awards), this is my first-ever Best Author nomination. Luckily I'm not going up against Mr. Kerr in this category. I'll let the board know how the vote comes out. I believe the award winners will be announced in March. Stand by.
At least it had a German theme to it. Ha! Actually Barry Reese is a pretty good writer but not in Kerr's class. Well, nominees are always at the mercy of voters. I lost out as well in the Best Author category but I'm still in the running for Best Pulp Short Story for another award. Wish me luck!
The book has also been nominated for Best Cover, Best Interior Illustration and, including mine, 3 of the 4 stories were nominated as well. At the awards that just passed, the book was also nominated for Best New Pulp Character, which it won. It was a fun project as I had not used my hardboiled voice in a while and was ready to get gritty with it.
