Volker Kutscher's books about detective Gereon Rath are a good read. Set in Wiemer Germany. Babylon Berlin is very rich in the background of the times.

I read this earlier today too. Waiting eagerly for the next book and now it looks to be the last. So very sad for us fans of Kerr.

Just started reading the books. It's taking about 2 days for each one so hopefully I'll be through them all very quickly. Bit of a surprise series for me. I was not aware of them previously and enjoying them so far.
