Appointed Ober-Kriminal Kommissar (Chief Inspector), Section 5, RSHA when KRIPO is taken over by the SD (AGR).

8th November 1939
Part of the Elser Bomb Plot to kill Hitler (FG).

1940
Automatically inducted in the SS.

June 1940
Working in Berlin as Ober-Kriminal Kommissar (Chief Inspector), Section 5, RSHA.

June and July 1940
In Paris and the Prisoner of War camps in Toulouse, France (FG).

August 1940 to July 1941
In Paris (FG).

21st June to 7th July 1941
In Minsk as part of Action Group. In the Police (316th) Battalion attached to the 49th Army with the rank of Haupsturmfuhrer (Captain) (AGR). On the 7th July he asked for a transfer from Arthur Nebe because of the type of work involved (FG).

7th July to 31st July 1941
Working with Waldemar Klingelhofer advising on anti-partisan hunts (FG).

31st July 1941
Sent to Baranowicze (now Belarus) for transportation (FG).

August 1941
Sent to Lieutenant-Colonel Reinhard Gehlen’s Foreign Armies East Intelligence Section in the Ukraine (FG).

September 1941
In Berlin working on the Geert Vranken murder as Ober-Kriminal Kommissar (Chief Inspector), Section 5, RSHA. Purchased apartment and living on Fasanenstrasse (PF).

1st to 9th October 1941
With Heidrich in Prague and at his residence at the Lower Castle in Panenske-Brezany, Czechoslovakia, working as his personal detective on the murder of Heidrich’s adjutant. He visited the Circus Krone on 8th October (PF).

October to 28th November 1941
In Berlin working on the General Ernst Udet murder as Kriminal Kommissar (Inspector), Section 5, RSHA. Demoted following Prague activities and working nights (PF).

December 1941 to May 1942
In Berlin working nights as Kriminal Kommissar (Inspector), Section 5, RSHA.

4th to 7th June 1942
Investigating Heidrich’s death in Prague (PF).

8th and 9th June 1942
Returned from Prague with Heidrich’s body and attended funeral (PF).

June and July 1942
In Berlin working nights as Kriminal Kommissar (Inspector), Section 5, RSHA (TLFZ).

August 1942
Presentation at the International Criminal Police Commission (INTERPOL) Conference at 56-58 Grossen Wannsee, Berlin. Also working for Lilly Minoux investigating the Stiftung Nordhav Company (TLFZ).

1st September 1942
Appointed Oberleutnant at the Wehrmacht War Crimes Bureau, Berlin (TLFZ).
