I couldn't agree more! The view in the Gunther books is always balanced and reflects my own research of the period as well. It's one of the best features of the books, I find, though as a whole they make great reads.

Hey All, a program note: I'll not be doing any review for the next two weeks due to other obligations. Worry not, Berlin Noir Reviews will return. In the meantime, the break will give folks a chance to get caught up with any of the previous reviews …
Just wanted to send this note of thanks to everyone here who has stopped by the blog. Over 700 visits since February! Wow! Thanks all! I'm having a blast reading and reviewing all the Berlin Noir books I can get my hands on.
Thanks for the info. We'll have to keep our eyes open for more on this tour. So many talk shows these days and he's crossing the country. Too bad he's not coming up to Vancouver, Canada. I'd be there in a heartbeat!
My pleasure! I only found out about it a few minutes before it was scheduled to air or else I would have provided a heads up for folks to watch it. But youtube solved that problem. It'll be interesting if he makes it to some of the other talk shows.…
Just saw Mr. Kerr on the Craig Ferguson show minutes ago. Manic interview but they did manage to touch on some aspects of the books. I'm sure it'll pop on youtube if it hasn't already.
